| This site was sparked by a discussion (in 1997) on NCTE-Talk list as teachers suggested a creation of an illustrated-annotated Slang Dictionary. This slang dictionary is not official nor necessarily accurate. It is a compilation of slang terms used by our youth today as submitted to us by youth from many corners of cyberspace. The words and expressions listed here represent the use in some circles not all and they certainly have meanings not necessarily associated with the current youth culture. So please read this dictionary in that spirit. This dictionary is meant to represent words used by youth which may also have conventional meanings. We are concerned with the slang usage only. |
