I like the idea that you wanted the students to rethink and start believing that they are a genius and this is a positive start, unless of course the student already knew this about him/herself.
Besides writing activities, what type of experiences/activities will you be using to help students "discover" their genius?
I like the idea of assuming all students are geniuses and teaching them about different intelligences.
I like the goal of transitioning student assumptions to cultivate and create self-image.
Assuming they are geniuses is a good experiment. Try it.
