5. Conferencing - what do students know/need
is important because it individualizes student progress while strengthening student/teacher relationships to foster student/teacher accountability for learning.
*review student work with student. have them tell you ways they can improve work next time.
*have students look at examples of work, anchor papers.
*talk about next steps using specifics - set a time to meet and review next version/project
*each student has notebook/reflection notebook every Friday discuss writing comments/ list record, grammar, spell, etc to make mini lessons to address needs.
*What accomadations do you need to analyze individual strengths and weaknesses?
*Use some form of pre-evaluation/assessment.

*weekly journals for students to reflect on work
*one on one mid-cycle reviews
*one on one end of cycle reviews
*Strengthen relationship between teacher and student.
